Holidays in Poland

There is always something going on in Poland. Really, all year round. This is just a beginning of the long list of cultural and traditional events which take place annually. Some of them, like Christmas and Easter are family gatherings with religious motivation. Moreover, Poles are festive folk. We just love to have a barbecue out in public with indispensable Polish cuisine. It is yet another aspect of Poland's cultural identity. Distinctive Polish foods include kielbasa, pierogi (pierożki), pyzy (meat-filled dough balls), kopytka, gołąbki (pronounced Go-waunm-b-ki), śledzie (sh-ledje-eh), bigos, kotlety (schabowy and mielony) and much more.
